Ang Thong National Marine Park Snorkeling & Kayaking Tour
aboard the Tour Boat (Operated by Samui Island Tour Co.)

Snorkeling and Kayaking tour to Ang Thong Marine National Park

Sea and sun adventure snorkeling, sightseeing, kayaking

° Cruise along the 42 uninhabited islands that range in size from mere rocks in the deep blue sea to little paradise islands with white beaches and coconut trees.
° Snorkeling at the most northern part of the park at Koh Wao consists of three islands with a shallow, sheltered bay in
between, making it well-suited for snorkeling.
° An easy but spectacular climb through dense rainforest and narrow ravines will take you to a spectacular viewpoint which looks out over the surrounding islands.
° Visit the mysterious sink hole, completely enclosed by walls of sheer rock, in its center the Emerald Lake
° Visit fisherman village at Koh Paluay and enjoy a local Thai Buffet style lunch. This exotic island is the only island in the chain which is inhabited and looks like what Koh Samui used to 30 years ago.
° Arrive at secluded Song Pee Nong Beach. Go for Guided kayaking tour along the coast and James Bond Island (optional).
° Almost all Samui tour operators go to the crowded Wua Ta Lap Island for picnic lunch & kayaking. We choose instead to travel a bit farther aboard our speed boat to eat lunch and go for sea kayaking at Koh Paluay's sea gypsy island.

Ang Thong National Marine Park translates as 'golden bowl', occupies almost 250 sq. km and includes 50 sq. km of protected nature area consisting of over 40 islands. All of the islands are uninhabited and undeveloped except for one. This island, Koh Paluay, is inhabited by "sea-gypsies" who still earn a living from fishing. The island looks like what Koh Samui used to look like 40 years ago, prior to the arrival of tourism and modern infrastructure. The Marine Park is famous for its natural beauty untouched by development.
The islands range in size from mere rocks in the deep blue sea to little paradise islands with white beaches and coconut trees. The movie 'the Beach' starring Leonardo Di Caprio was inspired by and partially filmed at this location. Being in the Marine Park gives you the feeling of being an explorer, discovering the far ends of the world. The water is clean, calm and inviting, creating the perfect conditions to explore the park's hidden treasures.
